Preventive and pediatric dentistry
We place special emphasis on oral and dental disease prevention. Regular control appointments every six months are crucial in improving your oral health and avoiding costly interventions.
As part of our preventive approach, we strongly encourage implementing all the advice provided by our dentists regarding dental care and dietary habits. By following these recommendations, you can effectively maintain your oral health and prevent future issues.
It is important to note that dental caries (cavities) in deciduous (baby) teeth develop in a similar manner as in permanent teeth. However, there are two additional factors commonly seen in childhood that contribute to the development of caries: excessive sugar intake and inadequate oral hygiene.
Due to the rapid progression of caries in baby teeth, the decay can reach the dental pulp (dental nerve) relatively quickly. Whenever the dental pulp is affected by bacteria, prompt and appropriate treatment is necessary to preserve the tooth's health. At our polyclinic, we prioritize preventive measures and strive to educate our patients on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and making healthy dietary choices. By addressing potential issues early on, we aim to ensure optimal oral health and minimize the need for extensive treatments.
